Kasich: Can LGBT People ‘For A Second, Get Over It’ If They Feel They Are Being Discriminated Against
Edrea Davis – I was a Kasich fan. Operative word, “was.” It’s very White of him to say if you feel like you’re being discriminated against, “get over it”… seriously? I can’t believe this is coming from the mouth of a man running for president. If we use Gov. Kasich’s approach Black Americans would still be slaves.
I think John Kasich is very knowledgeable and has a lot of the qualifications needed to be president however, he could never gain traction. Now I understand what the problem is. He has no fight. That’s probably why he believes people enduring discrimination should get over it.
Kasich kept saying he wouldn’t get in the gutter with the other candidates and I appreciated him for that. However, at some point I realized he was merely regurgitating his experience and lacked that fighting spirit. Although many of us don’t like the ghetto bickering that has transpired, we do want a leader who is assertive. The leader of the free world needs spunk, energy and the ability to be aggresive without insulting and belittling people like Donald Trump.
