Wide Open: The Andre Rison Story Film Release October 27 on AppleTV, Amazon Prime and Tubi
ATLANTA — NFL great Andre Rison’s biopic film Wide Open: The Andre Rison Story is being released on streaming networks AppleTV, Amazon Prime, and Tubi Friday, December 27, 2023. The film is directed by Jerry D. May, written and executive produced by best-selling author Derrick Handspike and Andre Rison.
Wide Open is the story behind Andre “Bad Moon” Rison’s ambition and determination to make it to the NFL while facing its racially charged environment. The film details his friendship with Atlanta Falcons teammate Deion “Primetime” Sanders and his tumultuous relationship with the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes as well as other personal and professional milestones.
Rison’s biopic stars Jermel Howard who plays Andre Rison and features a notable cast including Brely Evans, Towanda Braxton, Paris Bennett, Tamika Scott, Dexter Tucker, Kendrick Smith, Althea Heart, Chaz “Pink” Ridgeway, DJ Hershey, Kim Lovette, Lisa Rayam, Roderick D. Barber, Brian “B High” Hightower, Brittany “Diamond ATL”, Mz Shyneka, Mickey “MempHiTz” Wright, Special K, and Uncle Vido.
