And the worst thing is: cruelty is the point. Trump wants the pain to be visible. He wants his base to see it—kids in cages, families torn apart—because it makes them feel powerful, even while their wallets are getting lighter. It’s all a con job, a bait-and-switch: “Look over here at how we’re mistreating the scary Brown people for you,” while your healthcare vanishes, your job stays low-paying, and your community gets hollowed out.
This isn’t about protecting Americans. It’s about grabbing money and protecting Whiteness—at any cost.
This man coming to the rescue of White ‘refugees’ is the same man who called Mexicans ‘rapists,’ slashed refugee programs, initiated a Muslim ban, and, during a presidential debate, falsely claimed that Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, were eating cats and dogs. He also said he wants immigrants from “nice countries.” That’s not just ignorance—it’s deliberate, dehumanizing hate.
It’s perfectly on brand for Trump to roll out the red carpet when White Afrikaners in South Africa claim they’re victims of ‘racial discrimination.’ These Afrikaners are descendants of Dutch and French colonial settlers who established and upheld apartheid, a system of institutionalized racial segregation and exploitation favoring Whites over the Black majority
According to the South African Chamber of Commerce, over 67,000 White South Afrikaners have expressed interest in Trump’s so-called ‘refugee’ plan. This initiative follows his executive order accusing South Africa’s
Black-led government of unjust racial discrimination against White Afrikaner landowners.
Meanwhile, Trump is shutting the door on Black and Brown immigrants fleeing war, poverty, and climate disasters. Why? Because this isn’t immigration policy—it’s messaging. A loud, clear signal to non-White people: We’re working to take America back to the “good old days,” when Whiteness guaranteed opportunity and success—when White mediocrity still got you ahead.
Fair competition is too much for low-information folks like Trump. They don’t want a level playing field—they want their uncontested privilege back.
And let’s not ignore the scam behind the spectacle. While MAGA voters are cheering on ruthlessness at the border and deportations in their towns, they’re the ones who will suffer. With no immigrants to harvest crops or work in food processing plants prices will skyrocket. Rural America will be first to feel the adverse affects of Tariffs on foreign goods— Additionally, tariffs on foreign goods can adversely affect rural communities by higher prices on essential items, increasing farming equipment costs, and fewer exports. Deporting day laborers and hospitality workers means small-town businesses will struggle to stay open.
And let me reiterate: cruelty is the point. Every deportation, every insult, every racist policy is designed not just to harm—but to be seen doing harm. It’s theater for the MAGA crowd, so they feel powerful even while their own wages stagnate and their healthcare vanishes.
It’s a con, plain and simple. A racist, smoke-and-mirrors scam meant to distract from how bad these policies actually are for everyone—including his own voters.
Trump isn’t fixing the system. He’s rigging it—for Whiteness, for show, and for his own gain.
