BronzeLens and The Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Film & Entertainment invite you to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of HipHop, Friday, August 25 at Landmark Midtown Art Cinema. Join us for a special PowerHouse Panel and the official screening of the documentary short film “Song of the South”. From the desk of music executive Ian Burke, this documentary goes behind the scenes and chronicles the impact Mr. Burke has had on Atlanta’s urban music scene.

“Song of the South” takes us to Atlanta, Georgia in the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s where talented artists such as Arrested Development. TLC, Kris Kross, Outkast and more shaped three decades of music.The film features interviews and footage with celebrity artists, producers, music executives, songwriters and influencers who shape the stories and the history behind some of the biggest names in music. Atlanta continues to be a hub of music and film and this is the story of “Song of the South”.
