President Joseph R. Biden Jr. was sworn in as the 46th president of the United States. Vice President Kamala Harris was sworn in as the first woman and Black South Asian to become vice president. The Howard University graduate and member of AKA Sorority was sworn in by Supreme Court Justice Sonja Sotomayer.
