New MeidasTouch Political Video, #CommenceChange, Inspired by President Obama’s Commencement Speeches
Edrea Davis – One of the biggest problems Hillary Clinton encountered in 2016 – aside from Russian Hacking – was the lack of messaging that appeals to a diverse population, especially young people. MeidasTouch is a next generation political organization, reimagining progressive ideals for the rapidly changing digital age.
Their newest MeidasTouch video, #CommenceChange, was inspired by President Obama’s recent commencement speeches to high school graduates and graduates of HBCUs that was broadcast and streamed across the country and around the world.
The MeidasTouch website says, “President Obama’s message of hope, decency, and resilience stood in stark contrast to President Trump’s American Carnage where racism, sexism, classism, the debasement of science, and the breakdown of democratic institutions has corroded and corrupted the country and soured its discourse.”
The company comments on their site, “The phrase Commence Change is also related to President Obama’s campaign slogan from 2008 – ‘The Change We Need’ — and our belief that President Obama’s 2020 commencement speech must now serve as the wake-up call for us to WAKE UP, COMMENCE CHANGE, and SAVE OUR COUNTRY by electing Joe Biden as President.”
