Walmart recently called to tell me they recognized a fraud attempt on my card since they were to deliver over a thousand miles away from my billing address. Plus, the pick-up person was NOT me. Walmart said they would not approve the charges however, they did approve one of the charges. I’ve spoken to supervisors and the manager below, Victor Freeman, who will not be able to return my money without a dispute with the credit card company. I want Walmart to do their own work. Why would I need to call anyone but the company that made the mistake? I’m wondering if there is some type of insurance benefit if I go through my credit card company. Otherwise, why wouldn’t Walmart just refund my money? Please Walmart, give me my money back. The assistant business manager of Walmart Operations, Victor Freeman, sent the email below. “Hi s” is how I received the email. Perhaps IF WALMART PAYS MORE, WORKERS WILL DO MORE!

Hi s,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Here’s what we’ve done to help protect you and the steps we recommend you take to protect yourself in the future.

We’ve blocked your account from further use and deleted any saved payment information to help prevent future unauthorized activity. You will need to use a different email address and credit card for future purchases.

Please contact your credit card issuer to alert them of unauthorized use and dispute any charges. Working with your credit card company is the best way to recover unauthorized charges and protect your account.

If you use the same email address and password for accounts other than Walmart.com, we recommend changing your passwords at these sites as well. If you received a suspicious email (for example, regarding an order you did not place or asking you to follow a link), do not click on any of the links or respond to the email. For additional information about our privacy and security policy, as well as online safety tips, please visit http://corporate.walmart.com/privacy-security/tips

If you have additional questions or see any other suspicious activity, please reply to this email or call us at 1-800-966-6546.

Sincerely,

Victor F
