Gripping Urban Drama “A Family On Edge” Wraps Filming in Atlanta

Atlanta, GA – Principal photography wrapped yesterday in Atlanta on A Family On Edge, directed by Bruce Locke, with the assistance of director of photography Hakim Robinson. The urban drama filmed in various locations throughout the Atlanta area for the past month and stars Sean White (MICHAEL), Jules Nobles (RISA) and Gabriel Davis (GABRIEL). There’s a special appearance by Anthony Dorsey, a member of new R&B group Hamilton Park.

A Family On Edge is about two brothers, Michael and Gabriel Bonds, who were thick as thieves growing up in Atlanta and protected each other by any means necessary. When a fatal mistake separates the siblings, their rock-solid relationship is forever changed. Shocking secrets from past and present create intensifying tension between the brothers who find themselves faced with a perilous choice, resulting in A Family On Edge. This highly-realistic urban drama is layered with unpredictable twists and turns that appeal to an intergenerational audience.


According to Locke, who lives in Mississippi and spends a great deal of time on business in Los Angeles, “I considered shooting other places however, Atlanta was the perfect place to shoot the story.” The president and CEO of Paragon Records, “It has great locations, access to equipment, and professional actors and film crews.”

The film was produced by Cinesational Films in association with Eyes Entertainment. ReGina Nicole served as producer; Arlene Arlene A. McGruder, assistant director; Colleen Franklin, script supervisor; Yolanda Locke and Pamela Ward, production assistants; and Edrea Davis, supervising producer. Other members of cast and crew includes: Maurice Burly, Chameria Law, Tony Clayton, Brittany L. Smith, Lamont Lankford, Maurice and Perry Norsworthy, Scott Collins, Anthony Mack, Chris Moore, Vicki Lau, Derrick Newsome, Stefania D, Walter Hendrix III, Vanessa Turner, Jafari Bernard, Ben Lambeth, and Ben J. Tincher.

Three DeKalb School of the Arts students -Wayne Stewart, Jacobe King and Colbie Zeno – were awarded special appearances in the film. A Family on Edge is slated for release late 2012.
