This is absolutely ridiculous. It’s getting harder these days to avoid getting caught up in the criminal justice system. I hope people get how extreme the US has gotten with locking non-violent offenders. Heck, How can putting your children in a better school be criminal? President Obama just spoke about the need for parents to take education seriously. Well this parent did. There was a similar incident like this in Georgia. A woman registered her children for school from her mother’s house. Here’s my issue. I pay a lot of money for school taxes. They don’t give me a discount because I have school aged children. If my school syster were better than where my grandchildren live why would it be criminal for my son to register his child from my address? In that case I should not be required to pay the school tax.

AKRON, Ohio – The Akron mother, who was sentenced to 10 days in the Summit County Jail for felony tampering with records, said she’s planning to appeal her guilty verdict.

Kelley Williams-Bolar, 40, spoke exclusively with NewsChannel5 reporter Bob Jones from inside the jail on Thursday morning.

Judge Patricia Cosgrove could have sent Williams-Bolar to a state prison for up to 10 years. Instead, the judge opted for local jail time, two years community control and 80 hours of community service.
