Ella Joyce Plays Rosa Parks in One Woman Show
Los Angeles, CA – Actress Ella Joyce, best known for her co-starring role of Eleanor on FOX TV’s “Roc”, and Jasmine on “My Wife & Kids, captures the famous moment in the life of Rosa Parks, affectionately called “Mother of the Civil Rights Movement”, in her highly acclaimed, one-woman play A Rose Among Thorns.

The show recently performed in Louisville, KY presented by The Muslim Journal to a standing ovation. It was also presented as part of the Rosa Parks Sculpture Project and ArtPrize celebration in Michigan presented by the Grand Rapids Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, following another special performance in Connecticut presented by the Yale African American Affinity Group. It is presently booked to perform during the upcoming MLK weekend celebrations on Saturday, January 15, 2011 (7:30pm) at the well known West Angeles Performing Arts Theatre, 3020 Crenshaw Blvd., presented by Judge Mablean Ephriam Foundation.
