Congressman Rangel fires back at President Obama for his dignity remark

All I can say is GO CHARLIE! Why is President Obama weighing in on Congressman Rangel’s situation? More importantly, who is President Obama to say that someone should give up and leave with their dignity? What happened to innocent until proven guilty? The Obama administration should have learned something from the Shirley Sherrod debacle, or Professor Gates, and the looooooooong list goes on. I wish someone would point out to the president that unemployment is off the chain, the stimulus is not stimulating, and our soldiers are dying. He needs to stay focused and learn the words “NO COMMENT.” Mr. President you may be POTUS but you still need to mind your manners!

PS — Congressman Rangel may have supported Clinton but he was the first one to step forward and tell Ms. Clinton to throw in the towel.

Rep. Charles Rangel swats back at President Obama in candidate forum

Embattled Rep. Charles Rangel shot back Monday night at President Obama’s unsolicited advice for him to “end his career with dignity.”

“Frankly, he has not been around long enough to determine what my dignity is,” Rangel said of Obama during a fiery candidates’ forum at the Convent Avenue Baptist Church in Harlem.

“For the next two years, I will be more likely to protect his dignity,” said the 20-term Democrat, according to The New York Times.
